  • Grocery Outlet store coffee snag

I love that place. For those that have them by another name, it's the place to get cheap food. Well, I bought a can of some no-name coffee . It's a 34.5 oz can. And it was $3.99. And it tastes pretty good. I had to use a fucking can opener. The nerve!!!:ROTF: I'm backing up the truck on this one. I drink a lot of coffee.

Yeah, I definitely smell a pork product of some type.

Black and proud of it.:ROTF: Vintage Krups drip machine. I have bought off-brands of coffee there before. And some tasted awful. This stuff is pretty good. That's the fun of going to stores like that. Oh. And red bell peppers are 50 cents each. At my QFC stupidmarket, they are $1.99 each.:ROTF:

It's a Mission from God for me.:ROTF: Frugal is one thing. Getting good stuff way cheap is an art.

Not really. Seems like you just have to know what shops to go to...

It's a bit deeper for me. For example, I just bought a Lands End 2XL quilted cotton flannel shirt for $3. As new. I will never give up the quest for getting good stuff cheap. BTW. I could pay retail, but what is the point?

Not really a skill, more like knowing where to look and a bit of luck...

Well Fett, I may disagree with your cheap guitar theory, but I'm all over that coffee thing!

It all balances out in the end. Cheap everything=Cheap everything I really want. For no apparent reason.:ROTF:

Fett, you remind me of my dad to some degree. We have this small chain of bargain stores out here called Ollie's Good Stuff Cheap. you would LOVE the place.

                          Aldi's Supermarket.
The place is as cheap or cheaper than anything we have seen.

Most everything there is strange brands, but great stuff!
And the fresh vegetables are outstanding.

over here you've got farmfoods, netto, aldi and lidl there seems to be a sort of social stima surrounding these stores hence the joke.....Q. whats black and yellow and full of shite? A. a netto carrier bag. (btw a farmfoods carrier bag will survive a nuclear war).

round these here parts, folk tend to turn their farmfoods carrierbags inside out to avoid shame and public ridicule.
