I was 30 when Lennon was killed. I must admit that I was a little sad. But cry? Not even a thought.

Well guy's, I'm crying my heart out for my dog tonight....He was just diagnosed with cancer this afternoon... He's a 9 year old Black Lab/mix and has tumors on his spleen and in his lungs. He was sick and not acting himself on Friday, seemed to be fine from Saturday untill yesterday... Went in yesterday and today for blood tests, Xray's, and ultrasound. They found that the tumors on his spleen are bleeding.

Tough decision lies ahead........... Never had any problems untill this weekend.............................so damn sudden.

Sorry guys, just had to vent.

That's my point. Rock stars come and go. They die young. They die on drugs. They die in crashes. They die in the bathroom. Why in the world would I spend my emotions on a musician? As I said before, I save my emotions for the people that have real meaning in my life. The rest are just are; "That's too bad. I really like what he or she did." Mad. That's different. Good luck, my friend.

yes, most of 'em are fuck-ups in life. but shedding a tear over what you might miss when that person's gone forever...I guess they deserve it. Maybe they dont. but if they dont, you would not be listening to them anyway. Like Britney spears for example...if she dies tomorrow overdosed or something...I wouldn't give a rat's ass. But if James Hetfield (for lack of a better example) dies tomorrow, I would feel really really bad because Metallica is the reason I picked up the guitar in the first place.

EDIT: Madness...sorry to hear about your dog man.

Jason Becker is still alive, though.

I never cry even if I lose someone close but when we talk about celebrities... I remember me and the other kids I knew were very bummed when Freddie Mercury passed away... I think everyone who I saw were pretty sad durning that time

Yeah but his story isn't fair, and it's very heart touching. Most people get off bitching about not getting the shoes they want, and stupid materialistic shit like that. Jason Becker was one of the worlds greatest guitar players..It was all stripped away from him.

It's not fair, and it's very sad.
