      ARGH!

      I noticed last night as I was walking into the bookstore that it looked like there was a particularly dense cloud in front of the moon, even though I could see some stars. I thought it was interesting...

      Figures I'd miss it. I enjoy watching eclipses...

            Lunar Eclipse pics

            I know ABSOLUT CHARVEL started the thread about last nights eclipse, but I thought my pics could use a thread of their own. Taken through a 60mm Meade telescope with a hand-held digital camera.

              Thanks for the pictures. The moon was red from my location.
              I tried to take pictures of it through my 120mm Telescope but I couldnt' find my cheap camera. I tried with my Nikon but it didn't work as well as with my el cheapo camera.

              here's some pictures about two years ago.. I did the same thing you do but with a cheap camera which I couldn't find last night

                  the eclipse was gorgeous up here in the endless mountains of northeastern PA, watched the whole thing. at the end the moon was orangey red as it caught the light of the sun again. so cool.

                          I watched it for a bit. It was too cold to stand outside for too long
