LOL Celebrity Rehab is funny as hell. I'll have to remember to watch it tonight. I always forget about it on Thursday and just usually catch it repeated on Saturday or Sunday.

Nothing makes people feel better with their problems than listening to others with much bigger problems..

But nothing lifts my spirits more than laughing my way through an episode of South Park...new season starts next Wed!!!!

I'm on the fence with this one. I really feel treatment is a private thing and to trivialize it with a "reality" show is a bit of a slap in the face to those who went through it, I think. But I watch it. But not to see the trainwreck like most here, I'm sure. I really want to see how this plays out.

That's one of the deals of AA, being anonamous. Anonimoty (sp) as it were. So this really flies in the face of what the book says needs to happen for sobriety. I'd love to see an interview with Dr. Drew once this is over to see if he thought it was a success.

I feel bad for Jeff Conaway. I'm a fan. I loved Grease and the first season of Taxi. He needs to get away from that bitch of a girlfriend. But I feel for him even though I think he's doomed.

I caught a few episodes one Sunday, and I've got to admit I ended up getting sucked in & feeling some sympathy for some of them. When I heard about the show, it just seemed stupid, and I figured that all they wanted was to be on TV rather than to really get clean. Maybe it's just good editing, but I think most of them really are sincere. Jeff Conaway is such a tragic case. I was amazed he made it past day 2. I agree that they are probably all doomed unless they stay in some kind of controlled program for a lot more time, and even then I'd be surprised if more than 1 or 2 of them end up OK.

Its funny how Chyna sits there and says she doesn't have a drinking problem but every video on TMZ shows her drunk and stubling around the streets of LA. I think they need to look in the mirror more.

As for sincerity, I don't know. Look at them. All of them need a bit of a boost in their career. Shifty? More like Hasbeeny. He has no career. Mary Pornolady? She'll stay sober long enoght to drive to the liquor store as soon as she gets out. Her and the castoff from American Idol have way way bigger issues to deal with. The alcoholism is just a symptom of a bigger problem with them. The black chick seems pretty tight but weed is a hard thing to break. And she doesn't have a career either. Red Sonja just pops from reality show to reality show. That's what she's there for. And the Ultimate Fighting Moron thinks he's too cool to stay sober. I give him a month. He might make it longer since it seems like his girlfriend is a smart cookie.

All of them did it for the exposure, IMHO. Even Jeff Conaway.
