  • Kitchen timers. Your eggs are done

I love old Lux tick-tock timers. I'm watching an auction on something I really want. I tend to forget. But when that bell rings, I'll remember.

    I use the microwave.
Set power control to zero, then set the timer.

Stupid accurate, quiet, and stupid easy. And free, with the microwave.

I get a clock that's too noisy, I take the twelve gauge to it.
        One shot, one cure.

You caught me on a strange day. I have Intellishred scales occupying my little brain.

This one allows you to "cook" at power control zero, therefore not "cooking" at all. It just runs the timer. The little supercollider or whatever is in there doesn't power up, the light doesn't go on, or anything. It just counts time.

It's an old Kenmore. Probably GE.

Mine has a "Kitchen Timer" button that just keeps time. I didn't know you could set the power level to 0.

I prefer the old egg timers too. TickticktickticktickticktickRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNGG

Mine is a Deluxe Lux. It rings like an old alarm clock.
