Cool. Correctomundo. So, here's what I want to know. We've all read the recent depressing threads about bands that have declined. Let's face it, they are the majority...and we all know who they are. What I want to know is, what bands have bucked the trend? What bands are still "cool" and meet the following stiff requirements:
1) Have been signed for 5 years or more
2) Are still performing near or at the same level of their peak as far as musicianship goes (record sales are irrelevant)
3) Comebacks are allowed: if they faltered but later rose like a phoenix from the ashes, that is OK
4) Bands who have reformed as new bands are OK
Shark jumpers need not apply!
OK I'll start:
1) Yngwie Malmsteen - Unleash the Fury
2) King Diamond - Give Me Your Soul
3) Trans-Siberian Orchestra
