Hey Xeno ..me too. I think more of that kinda dynamic should be explored. Watching Alissa in that 'We Rock' cover gave me a new found respect for her. I did NOT like the new AE with Nick Cordle from Arsis and her on their last. I tried to like it. I think Chriss Amott was/is a huge part of their music. I lOVE the new song with Loomis. Go figure I always wanted to merge Nevermore and Arch Enemy..wahlaaaah. I mean WTF??? She's too high in the mix..really loud. She's cute and can gruff, but I like her clean voice better.

Jeff Is a monster..we know this. He'll wait 'till Warrel and Jim will stop the Santuary thing and hook back up with Broderick and maybe Shawn Drover. Thats a perfect fit really. They work together well..so it's a reason Jeff in AE..they shared a bus nicley together, and got along. That's important.

Oh Krux is Fredrik Ankersson (sp) who replace Chris Amott the first time, live only ..before Gus G (also live only). That's how Ozzy heard him. During Ozzfest a while back. Anywhoo, Mats Levin, along with Leif Edling and Akersson is Krux..Yeah..I love the song 'Devil Sun'. That solo kicks ass..even grainy live version on YT.

Xeno I LOVE Theory In Practice. I burned a copy of their "Coloning the sun' and Apocrypha 'The Forgotten Scroll" for Glen Drover. Pretty technical stuff at the time. Make sure The Faceless is 'Autotheism', their last. Then Duality ect..then their first. They were a tad metalcore at first, but that changed to more technical death prog..female vox would be cool. Like Symbyosis did with..'Flight of the Dolphin'..I think?

I love like... Tristania and was an early fan of Lacuna Coil... and I like a whole bunch of other gothy opera metalish stuff... hell I even like Evanescence and Flyleaf... but I mostly mean I like Theater of Tragedy, Diva Destruction, The Gathering, After Forever stuff... Dismal Euphony... stuff like that.

There isn't a whole lot of more technical brutal stuff with clean female vocals. Atrox Orgasm is good, but yeah, an album from a decade ago isn't really a whole lot of material. lol

I'm really digging The Faceless Duality . I'll be ordering a couple of CDs that's for sure... while listening to that, I found this:

Cool...man. I gotcha on Goth chicks. I love 'em. My favorite female singer will always be Annekke from the Gathering. Oh Tarja just did Colors with 'Medusa' on it. There's Lots of Medusa shit going on!! Prolly female power or some shit. Oh man I got tons of older female gothy metal..shit. Off the top-- Tristiana, --Lullacry, Siebenburgen (members of Tristiana), Trail of Tears, Theater of Tragedy, Liv her solo stuff is amazing, Tarja again, Blackmore's Night (not metal, but it's Ritchie & Candice)), Peccatum Ihsahn and wife, THERION Live Kabbalah & Gothic Kabbalah, for sure!, Within Temptation, Epica, After Forever, Ooohhh.. Krypteria 'blood angle's cry' great guitar tone, and hot asian. Delain, ummm Serinia..and prolly Medusa. I'm not shure if there's a Medusa..I'm sure there is, besides Tarja's song...and Meduza..the power metal band.


But for now Medusa..up above ..Oh wait. Moonspell just put out Medsalem. I just saw them recently with Septic Flesh. I was HOPING for their Bellydancer to come out. WOW..check the vid to Moonspell's 'Night Eternal'..Belly dancer..I love her. She's a Medusa!
