ewww. Now way dude. Don't you know I have raging OCD. I clean behind the toilet just for fun. I insist that me and Vinny wipe up any pee pee driplets after we go pee. If I see any dried up pee pee drops next to or on my American Standard Cadet III (with flush right system) ..there will be hell to pay!!!
I don't want to have to flush the toilet with my foot in my own home..with shoes on. Then I'll have to shine those shoes afterwards. Man, OCD is a mofo!!!
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!
"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.
OCD in tha muthafuggin' house! I knew we had somethin in common bill, was hoping it was metal though
I recently thought it'd be awesome to be able to give people a virtual reality simulation of OCD with one of those matrix head plugs or summin. Theres a heap of people out there that wouldn't live 10minutes with this shit! Absolutely everything can be altered by it, paints the world hugely different colours at different times. Especially at this time of year too. Things get way busy, weather hits extremes. I've been holed up in my place, blinds drawn ac crankin' like when bart broke his friggin' leg in the pool episode. Sound familiar bill? (Typical obsessional behaviour pattern apparently)
Fuckin' sucks not being able to live 'normally', if there is such a thing, cause the added stresses of the most basic functions of modern life can push you off the rails and it manifests itself into chaos, and gnashing of teeth. Working with the right psych and meds helps me hugely, but its something you cannot get rid of, just be able to deal better. 'As good as it gets'
Anyways, time to shred balls, take names, and fuck toejam!
I also have OCD though it's never been actually confirmed. Luckily I've kind of gotten over it (Kinda. I've finally gotten rid of a couple of steps in my daily ritual) though I'm sure it will come back and when it does it will be much worse. I used to go to bed at 10:19; not 10:20 or 10:18. I still get up at 7:19, never earlier or later. I'm so used to that I never need an alarm. I have do everything in a certain way when getting ready, listen to certain songs while walking home. All of this because I think something bad will happen if I don't. It stresses me out like crazy. It started about a year ago.
Maybe we should start a club?

Dude, totally. If it doesn't fit the curves just right, it might as well be on the floor. Next to my bed
Yeah its been pretty hot down here lately, especially down south. The sun is brutal without an ozone layer too. Thanks industrial revolution! When its a dry heat though its nice, I was diggin' a 45 day last month. I can get burnt just walking across a carpark on a day like that though
Ben, textbook ocd. Has something changed recently? Some people can have it triggered by events or stresses that increases these intrusive thoughts. Aslong as you can keep identifying it, it will help in the long run. If you see it start to impact on your life, seek help. I was diagnosed at 8, stress turned to depression at 13, was off meds by 16, went back on after discovering panic attacks at 18/19, and have been truckin' along okay since (27). Everyones different though, so just see when you've got the energy to combat the feelings or atleast notice that its abnormal (to others) behaviour.
