Hey Billzy, I'm watchin' COPS tonight, one of the eps is in Cleveland! CPD Officers Colon and Harhay (12 Lincoln) kick in a door to investigate a domestic assault. Backed up by Sgt. Johnny Johnson.
They were in Cleveland a couple weeks ago also; I'll try to find that one on hulu."Quiet, numbskulls, I'm broadcasting!" -Moe Howard, "Micro-Phonies" (1945)

So, since the day I became a member of this forum, I've shared my enthusiams of Nevermore. Also stating that "Belive in Nothing" should have been on the radio, and given that fair chance would have been a CLASSIC hit by now. My wife ceratinly heards those words many times. We all know they wrote that during the peak of Nu'Rap movememt..BUT what's with this song getting all this attention now..all at once??
I'd like to see the rightful owners of this song get the full credit they deserve, but maybe it takes more bands paying tribute to get NM recognized.
I'll with Nevermore's full album version..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7VukQnMnRjM
Then theor radio edit w/ video..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XxUm1...om=PL&index=10
Then this pathetic version from ATR..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gegnq...eature=related
A decent version by Firwind..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImM4nBdgqoc
This seems to be a good cover, but the audio kinda sucks..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sbk2M4r8V3k
Then this cover..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r06em...eature=related
..and this..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6g3Z3uwyBNo
this..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=te5OeOJ54xQ
this..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJ30F...eature=related
WEll..There' many, many more covers of this, and since this is almost reached critical mass..Do you think Nevermore's version will be on the radio? 10 years later..or will it take it another 10 years like it did with the mainstream's love affair with early Metallica.
This song will never be dated..because it didn't follow any trend. Therefore it's timeless. As you can see..
BTW I wonder why the Nevermore sound alike bands such as Communic, Scariot and such didn't try this.."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"

Fuck I hate it when shitty bands rip off the kings. To me a cover is supposed to be your interpretation of a song, not just copying it. It's why alot of modern sabbath covers rule. Also Opeths version of Would? I think that Nevermore just doesn't sound dated enough to have it covered properly. I mean they're still unique and fresh! How the fuck can you add to a song that has Loomis and Dane on it? Case in point; Tomorrow turned into yesterday. Waaaay classier metal then the cores and djent horseshit that goes for metal nowadays

I like Nevermore, somethimes the vocals set my teeth on edge (not often) but the music itself kicks ass
Sometimes I wish that there was a wider variety of just instrumental metal... sort of like a high gain version of the Ventures2001 Les Paul Standard
2010 Explorer '76 RI
1988 Charvel Model 3

He's my favorite singers/writers by far. His solo release is amazing...even my wife loves it. She didn't care for Warrel's voice years ago..but that's all changed now. He's one of here faves too.
Especially when you compare his voice to those who try to cover him..wow, there is ALOT missing!
My two favorite singer in metal/rock are Warrel Dane and Jorn Lande. But I would picj Warrel over Jorn to work with because the styles would gel better.
Of course this is considered the "new breed" when compared to the standard..Coverdale, Dio, Tate, Halford, ect.. even if they've been at it since the 80's.."Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
