    - the email boxes that are used for the gallery submissions has been overwhelmed with spam for years

    - the gallery itself is kind of a pita to update. not that it's difficult, it's just time consuming, and it hasn't been a priority in years.

What Sully means is it's an outdated HTML dinosaur It would be cool if you could have a Photobucket like system that anyone registered could upload to it at anytime, but I'd imagine would be a bit hard to setup and police.

That would be great so we can create an serial number registry with pics... I would do it if I knew how, but i don't

Hmm, I may be able to work on something like that. I've been looking for something to practice and expand my ASP.NET skills.

Without completely obligating to anything, what sort of features would you like to see on something like that?

we've wanted to have it be user-uploadable, but the only issue we saw was that it could mess up the chronology of it all.

Sully, What do you mean 'mess up the chronology' of it?

the gallery is, for the most part, in chronological order by serial.

That gallery idea would be cool. I've been doing a serial number database for the "U" guitars for a while, but didn't include pics. Its just the number / model / finish / special mods / final insp date . Adding pics would make it a bit too complicated for my abilities. It'd be great if one of you smarter people could do it though
I'm not afraid to bleed, but I won't do it for you.

                    Ah, I see.

If a page or application automatically sorted them by serial number, that would get rid of that handicap. And if a lot of the information was already available (Phantom Hawk's info), that would make a nifty little feature.

yeah, but you can't really peg the year in the serial number, ya know? and with all of the creative serial number creations, it would be a mess.
