Caps looked like they just crawled out of bed during game two. They looked almost completely spent. Not taking a thing away from Philly. They played, for the most part, an excellent game.

Biron and Richards were brilliant. Excellent game plan. Structure + aggressive play = success for Philly. They stuck w/their game plan and Biron was hot. They only took a couple of silly penalties.

Caps were Crap. Except for Cooke and Huey. Cooke played his ass off on every shift. Huey was strong considering he's not a super star quality player to begin with. It had to happen sooner or later. Winning their last 12 of 13 or 13 of 14 (whichever it was) games was awesome. The wear of their long winning streak finally caught up w/them. They better shake it off or Philly is going to stomp a mud hole in their ass.

The officiating in game two was bad. Not completely horrible. But definitely bad. Caps benefited from most of the bad calls and still couldn't cash in. Pathetic! Painful game for us Caps fans.

I don't know that I'd go that far, but perhaps its true. He really came into his own over the last half of the season after a slow start. He led the league in scoring from the point where he became "the man" in January after Crosby got hurt...and he finished only 6 points behind Ovechkin overall.

MAybe it's just when he plays the Flyers then. I did a Youtube search for "Crosby is a wimp" and the first three results were all clips compiled from Pens-Flyers games.

Anyway, Malkin is a much better all-around player than Sid the Kid.

I saw where Pat Threrston took that slap shot. Right in the crotch I don't think Bill Z's balls of steel could take a 100 mph slap shot in the pud. The nut still wants to play though. That is a hockey player. Hopefully it will be a good game, but I will likely be stuck mowing the yard during the first two thirds of it.

the stars join the 2-0 club... game three at the AAC will be a bloodbath
the ducks are in must win mode and will turn up the heat even more... the stars need to match that intensity.
