I don't know that I'd go that far, but perhaps its true. He really came into his own over the last half of the season after a slow start. He led the league in scoring from the point where he became "the man" in January after Crosby got hurt...and he finished only 6 points behind Ovechkin overall.

the sharks have to be getting nervous... blowing a 3-0 lead on the flames, down 1-2 in the series.

Caps looked like they just crawled out of bed during game two. They looked almost completely spent. Not taking a thing away from Philly. They played, for the most part, an excellent game.

Biron and Richards were brilliant. Excellent game plan. Structure + aggressive play = success for Philly. They stuck w/their game plan and Biron was hot. They only took a couple of silly penalties.

Caps were Crap. Except for Cooke and Huey. Cooke played his ass off on every shift. Huey was strong considering he's not a super star quality player to begin with. It had to happen sooner or later. Winning their last 12 of 13 or 13 of 14 (whichever it was) games was awesome. The wear of their long winning streak finally caught up w/them. They better shake it off or Philly is going to stomp a mud hole in their ass.

The officiating in game two was bad. Not completely horrible. But definitely bad. Caps benefited from most of the bad calls and still couldn't cash in. Pathetic! Painful game for us Caps fans.

Alexander Crosby/Sidney Ovechkin. Here is hoping he doesn't pull that anymore, as I think he would loose a lot respect around the league (and apparently lost some in Philly). That hit against Timmonen was the ultimate cheap shot, and Huet needs to man up and stop being the Crosby of goalies. He's worse than Brodeur. Let in 2 crap goals too. Refs sucked too. That having been said, the Flyers played a good game, and made the Caps break down again. Another interesting problem for them that will start playing out is Ovechkin wearing out from over use.

I disagree that Huet is the best goalie in the league It's Brodeur when he's on IMO.

You know what I meant :ROTF: I agree Brodeur is probably the best right now when he is on, but he is a case of "When you're hot you're hot, when you're not you're not" and (at least in the games I've seen) he's letting in more bad ones than he used to. Hasek is more consistent, but he doesn't seem nearly as mobile as he used to be.

You didn't miss much except Hasek getting pulled in the 2nd for Osgood, who played better than Hasek, I might ad.

I don't get Detroit, the looked great at home and had the Preds 2-0. But two lackluster games in Nashville and the Preds are right back in it 2-2.

Hopefully Detroit's not pulling another first round chokejob.

I ended up seeing most of it - thought it started at 7 like the rest of the games not 9.

Datsyuk is my hero. He just needs the rest of the team to show up...

Datsyuk is the only player showing up in the last 2 games.

Back on track once they get back to Hockey Town, I hope.

With my luck so far, Nashville will probably win. I know I'm supposed to hate the Red Wings, but Nashville pulled quite a number on the Blues at the end of the season and for the last couple years for that matter. Ottawa 0-4, jesus christ that sucked. Devils probably aren't going to make it either at 1-3.
