  • That sounds a bit risky.

You sure you're not trying to kill me?

      "Open the package"

      LOL

No, not trying to kill you.

A phone call would have done that.

      hehe

        • The fuel price "crisis" is a joke. It's all sheer greed. If our environment needed so much help, Al Gore, wouldn't have a thousand dollar+ electric bill. Probably drives a big nice car too like all the fuel company execs. Gas companies needed an excuse to start jacking the price, and Katrina opened the flood gates (literally and physically). Now they got a taste and can't stop. They don't care if they implode their country's economy doing it, all for the sake of stupid amounts of money. Government needs to do something. Not just a president, ALL of them. There is no shortage, just disturbing greed.

That's what I'm saying, the consumer is getting fucked royaly fucked. People can't drive where they want because they can't afford it. That is a sad state of affairs, my friends.

But there are a lot of us in that boat.

Someone mentioned in another gas thread about killing the CEO's of the oil companies. That is utter bullshit but these guys need to be accountable for the raping of the working class.

              A very non-partisan paper indeed.

BTW - I'm not a Bush supporter - but I'm sure as hell not a "tax first, ask questions later" lib either. With that said, anyone naive enough to think that ONE MAN is responsible for our economic collapse has been hanging with the Clintons and Kennedys too long.

Hard to fudge numbers. The numbers are there, check them out.

I guess we paint with a broad brush both you and I. I wouldn't call myself a "tax-first, ask questions later lib" either. But I am very liberal, no doubt about it.

Could Exxon and the like pulled it off without Bush? Are you kidding me? They needed him in office to pull this scam, and that's what it is, a huge fuckin' scam that you and I are paying for. In areas we had no idea we'd pay for it.

Should we do as Cyg said and stop "blaming" them for making a profit? Fuck that, I want them held responsible.

Imagine if this crap went down under Clinton. I'm no Clinton fan but my god the shit would have hit the fan. Another horrible stain of 9/11.

It wasn't a question, and you've only agreed with what I stated, so I don't get your point are you a bit simple or what?

Breakfast: black coffee and an orange Tomorrow I'll have a bagel I think.
Lunch: 2 slices of whole wheat with peanut butter, milk, and another orange
Supper: Pork chops & scalloped potatoes. I might have a nice pumpkin ale later...

I ride my bike to and from work when the weather is decent (usually from May until November), and ride about 100-150 miles each week after work (that's about 160-240 km if you're wondering). I hunt pheasant thru the fall and ski patrol all winter. But Quicky Mart? Nope - other than an occasional bottle of coke and maybe a bag of peanuts.
                  BTW - Not "yore".

Virtuous aren't you, are you Jesus? What's an orange Tomorrow, seeing you're being pedantic?

From you mile jibe I guess you've never been to the UK or you'd realise we don't use KM.

Nothing you've said has changed my mind about being a great big fanny. BTW that means something complety different in the UK ducky.

Gotta disagree with you - numbers are only as good as who's interpreting them. They can be twisted just as easily as words.

I don' like high gas prices, and I don't think the oil companies deserve their profits, but again, they don't set the price on CRUDE. It's a commodity. It's just like corn, wheat, soy, cattle, and hogs. Do you want to drag all the farmers into hearings because they are making some profits (finally) at the cost of the American people?

You want to see things get REALLY fucked up? Let the government start to fuck around with the markets and artificially regulate them. See what happens. It's what your candidates are all about - tax & burn. As for me, I don't have a horse in the race in the next election. Well, maybe Jesse Ventura I guess.

You're absolutely right. BushJr is a sock puppet, just a tool for much more dangerous entities. That's ever been the problem with him, since long before the Supreme Court appointed him president.

As opposed to BushJr's Bottomless Deficit. It's called balancing the budget. You have to do that with your household budget, right? Wars cost money. Sure, China's more than happy to loan us the cash to cover it. But what's the interest rate on the repayment?

Don't remember saying I agreed with his fiscal policy or the war.
