  • I'm doing my part.
    Buying a motorcycle.
It's a tough job, but someone has to do it.
Of course, it gets lousy mpg, but, it's better than my cage.

Neither here, nor there, Bengal, Shobet, SG, and all.
I am a member of many forums. Same user name.
Different places have different sets of expertise to offer.
I take the position to learn, and try to pass it on to those who
      haven't.

I only offered to help, and got what I got (over there).

If there's any elevated emotion, I'll take the blame. I came here to learn more about the brand, and you guys brought me back to life. I appreciate eveyone, and the lessons I've learned.

The members here (and many other places, believe it or not), have been for the majority generous, helpful, and cool to hang out with. And if some locker room towel-snapping goes on, and I get pissed over it, well, it only
shows my inexperience with dealing with faceless people online.

Remember sniper guy (and a few others like him)?

I don't want to become like that.
      Snipe at will.
And stay the way you are.

          • 8,50$/gallon here in Finland.
I wouldn't be surprised if the price went up to 10€ within two years.

              • Americans are consuming less and refiners are cutting production. How convenient.

Clinton left us with a tax revenue surplus (which is also not good) that BushJr managed to turn that into the largest deficit in US history in just five or six years (depending on whose math you want to believe).

What makes it really easy to "blame the current pres" for rising oil prices is that he (and his father) are raking in millions hand-over-fist with every penny increase in the price of oil products. So he has no incentive to do anything to reverse it.

Plus, BushSr also had a thing or two to do with the phony gas crisis of the late 70's.
hmmm...maybe the tax surplus had something to do with the smoke and mirrors 90s boom?

As far as millions hand over fist, can you cite a source? I'm curious.

                  • Over here in Blighty, petrol hovered around the "just under £1 a litre" mark for the longest time. It was inevitable that when someone finally broke it, the price would rocket - which it has. They're talking about £1.50 by September. So that'll be a 50% increase in six months. Pricks.
A couple of years ago, when the price was threatening to break the pound barrier, there were protests and near-riots, forcing them to drop the price and keep the peace. However, this time nobody seems to be all that bothered, they all just shrug their shoulders and pay up.

                        • Mm, wow. It's $3.562 for regular gas in Puerto Rico, and everyone is shouting about... including me. People here (my country) don't realize this issue is all over the world. Goverment here is promoting mass (public) transportation.

                          • People are really starting to panic as prices soar in this part of the country. I have two employees that are hinting at giving notice because it's just too damned expensive for them to drive to work.

If I'm not mistaken, I think I heard that it's illegal to sleep in your car in California. However, some business parking lots have started allowing employees to "camp out" during the week and drive home only on weekends.

That is insane. There is no way I'd camp at work. Lucky I work 3 blocks from my house.

I was thinking it would get to 4 dollars a gallon by Memorial Day. Seems like it might in your neck of the woods Mark. I don't think it will here, it's still about $3.60.

Employers may need to start thinking about a "gas stipend" for their workers, help them get to work and all.
                              I'm angry because you're stupid

                              • 4.15 for premium in Ann Arbor this afternoon. The cheapest I saw was 3.85 for regular today way out in the middle of nowhere in Clinton, MI.

I'm gonna move my ass to NYC soon and start walking everywhere.
