They have burned too many folks in the past, most more than once.
That's the last place I go, and only if I really can't get the item ANYWHERE else.

I can't believe they are still in business, actually.

Good thing there is always a fresh supply of n00bs who are gonna be rockstars.

    etc!

Eh... I hardly ever walk in there anymore. As a matter of fact we have a new member that just bought Curts Bengal charvel. He used to work at the Daddy's in Nashua back in the day. THAT was when Daddys was a decent store
Don't worry - I'll smack her if it comes to that. You do not sell guitars to buy shoes. You skimp on food to buy shoes! ~Mrs Tekky 06-03-08~

You've been to see if you can get a handful of "Daddy's junk"?

Erm, ah, ummmm, OK, nothing like keeping it in the family I guess.
DO you play the banjo by any chance?

        :ROTF:
So I woke up,rolled over and who was lying next to me? Only Bonnie Langford!

        I nearly broke her back

So, I figure, the best way to get them back is to buy something for a good price, that they have no clue about.

How about this, with a case, and whammy bar, in NEW condition.

            I mean, never played.

            LOL

            I mean, look at it.
The white paint is still on the pickups.

So, I walk in the store with the Wife, and say, here's where the bargains are, if they are to be had in the store... (heading towards the used shit).
I see this, and just pick it up, and continue to walk around the store, with it in hand.
            Wife says... whatcha got there?
            I go... Nuttin
            LOL
Bring it up to the counter... hey, you have the case and the whammy bar for this thing?
The kid behind the counter goes... hmm... I just put that out there like, 20 minutes ago... I think I have a case, but, the whammy doesn't work.
(he pushes down on it... like he wants it to pull up in pitch)
I grab it from behind, and pull up, and the strings go slack.
            LOL
Bottom line, less than 200, with case, and whammy.

Now, that's the way to stick it to them.

Poor guy will prolly loose his job tomorrow for tagging the thing at 199
