    all your points are wrong

you don't have to run it on the whole power

it's more luxury than a sports car (it's more like Aston than Ferrari, Lambro etc.)

acceleration and steering are out of this world

it's meant to be a car for casual driving... it's just really fast and powerfull

now SSC Aero that the Americans made is pointless as hell... they made it just to top Veyron's speed... that's it... acceleration isn't as good... steering is utter shit... and it looks like a B grade Lambro

Uhm no. Your gas tank lasts 12 minutes when going topspeed (which is 400 KM/H), other than that it's no different from driving a luxury cruiser. THAT is the reason why it is and probably will forever be the best car ever made.
You took too much, man. Too much. Too much.

besides, i think it has electronicaly controled cylinders, so, if you're going 30 or thereabouts, it uses only 4 cylinders.. or was that a diferent one? i keep watching the show and all of them started blending together :P

I dont think the veyron has cylinder deactivation, it'd screw up the turbo system surely, then again with the engineering in that thing it wouldn't surprise me.

I don't get the whole 'its the greatest car ever made' thing. 1000hp isn't exactly rocket science (close though!) and big numbers just take more money to throw at it. This was a car born of ego, for the ego and nothing more. Which is precisely why clarkson went absolutely overboard with it

You can have your $4000 indicator stalk, I'll stick to not having interior door handles thanks (f40)

Now we're talkin'! The F40 is a real badass - closest thing you'll get to an X-wing on the street.

what expensive car isn't for the ego?
what makes it so good it's that it's a brilliant piece of engineering not a kit-car.
I care less about it's top speed, it looks cool and drives like a dream... and it's built with the best materials available.

F40... ahh... how much more cliche one can get.... it must be red too right..

ok, just kidding F40 was the last cool Ferrari, everything after that looks uber gay

I think that was the Chrysler 300C that they talked about that doing the deactivation.

I'm just saying, I would not enjoy it if I had to worry about where the nearest gas station was every time I drove it. At least a lambo gets around 11 based on what I've read. Not that 11 is anything to b rag about, but sure going to have more fun for longer in that than you would a Veyron

It was the last ferrari Enzo signed off on, so there ya go! I agree they're all to feed ego, but I just think the veyron was built after the guy ran his mouth to much. Especially after he had a sniff of putting them into production. I don't know if they're making a profit from them yet, the convertible version may just do that, but if its this cost that puts them into Porsche's ownership, justice has won

The Enzo in black just looks like Darth Vader's staff car!

I was at a vintage race meeting a coupla years back. On the way home, I was stopped at traffic lights, and the car that pulled up beside me was an F40. The one behind me? Only an Enzo.
Obviously, my '99 Civic left them both for dead when the lights changed...

Those Lotus that are sold int he US use Toyota engines, or at least they used to. We have a friend who had a Celica with one and it had some real get up and go, and used the same motor as they're putting in the Lotus Elise/Exige now.
