I just ordered a book from Amazon.com but it didn't ask for the security number of my credit card.(the 3 digit number behind the card) I'm pretty sure that I didn't log onto some fake site and I got the confirmation mail with the order number, which works just fine with amazon.com. So, how's that? How the hell can they get payment from me without the security number?(of course, without brute forcing the number)
    I wish my hair-color was EDS :/

I'm pretty sure the security code isn't required to get payment.

You don't have to have it for payment. It's just a security option to make sure someone is in possession of the card.

The security code is more for subscriptions and stuff where they can't show proof of a delivery.
