And thanks for your service as a police officer. I am continually amazed at the risks police officers routinely take, for relatively little pay. While individuals obviously vary - as they do in every profession - I have had the honor of meeting and working with many, many police officers over the years, and they are generally great people to know. The profession as a whole deserves our gratitude and respect.

Bill I know enough about cops to know the bad ones make the decent ones look bad. I have a cousin who is a cop. He carries a throw down gun just in case he needs it. He covers peoples traffic tickets all the time. He asked me once if I wanted an illegal unmarked gun. He knew a guy LOL... He is kind of a dirty cop in my book but he is kin.

I didnt grow up in a big city . I hate them. I grew up with small town cops and most were corrupt. My brother was harrassed by a cop ofr 2 years. He complained but the blue brotherhood covered that bad cops but. Eventually he was canned and sued because he harrased a woman too. I guess women are more believable. Most of my experiences with cops have been bad so I dont trust any of them. The bad ones hide behind the badge and guns and the unions or the blue brotherhood support them.

I know cops have it bad but if they dont police themsleves then they will keep on losing respect. Just my opinion.

A former boss of mine did just that. He said he had to quit because of all the police impropriety — taking sexual advantage of women in exchange for dismissing ticket offenses, drag racing with their police cars, planting drug evidence (or stealing and re-selling it), etc.

I've said it before, and I mean it still: I have never had a use for a cop. Just make it legal for me to protect what is mine, and I never will.

I've been stopped many times by the cops (for traffic violations) and never ONCE have I ever been shot at,drawn down on, or otherwise threatened with any kind of force....why?

So, your former boss went on A ride-a-long and observed all that?..wow! I've worked a black and white for 13 years and NEVER saw that. I heard about it whenever some idiot got caught doing dumb shit. So anyways, he says to me can I sees yo regristrations and shit. Now I'm not driving my car..I'm driving my boy neckbone's car...and the motherfucker wrote on his temp tags with magic marker and shit. I trys to tell the pig this shit. He don't give a fuck..tellin' me my cuz' got a warrant and shit and the tags are all espireds..how in the fuck am I supposed to know that shit..it ain't my motherfuggin' car. Now I forgot my wallets at my moms, but the pig is tellin me..my shit is all espired..I knew I paid my shit..I went to court..this motherfucker just playin' me. So the pig cuffs me and shit and finds this powder in my bot's car..it ain't my car..it ain't my shit..I don't know about know muthafuggin powder..I bet the police put that shit in there. Now I got to go to jail and I gotta call my moms to bail my ass out. She's all up in my face and I hangs up the fuggin' phone. That was my last phone call. Glad I got the facts here. HEHEHEHe. I saw a bit of the trial on Tru TV this am. I am always shocked at the fire power. You would think it would only take a few well placed rounds to make a point, especially if not under fire. I know,,, I wasn't there. But I can say that Im pretty godddam good with my 45, and under 60 ft. I think the statistics are somewhat embarrassing regardless of the adrenaline that they occurred.
I think the tragedy here is in the faith and relationship that the community and the departments suffer here. There are alot of heroes out there in the forces. I meet them daily. A few friends of mine are plain clothes officers. I hear their stories. I also hear about the bad eggs in the bunch. I have ridden in patrol with my neighbor when I lived in AZ. He is a Mesa,AZ cop. It was enlightening. I would enjoy doing it again.

Horns, hats off to ya bro and any other of you guys out there enforcing the law or protecting our country. I myself don't see how I can judge anyone in the situation. ( except the 50 rounds...hehehehe) Just a sad state of affairs and unfortunate for the victim and the community as a whole.
