Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare

I'm so addicted to this game it's not even funny. I have it on the PS3 and I must say, it's the best game I've ever played. Period. And I'm from the Pong generation so I've seen them all. Atari 2600, Atari 5200, Colecovision and on and on. But no game I've owned/played has ever been as fun as this one. All genres included.

I "beat" the game rather quickly, sucks that the single player game is so short. So I finally went online with the PS3 just to give the game some more legs. Now I'm addicted to playing it online. I stay up waaaaaay too late at night and play the Free-For-All mode. Too much fun.

Anyone else play this game? On PS3? Online? If so, what's your "handle", maybe we could get a JCF Clan going.

COD:4 is crack. Once you start, it is hard to put down. But, i'm a 360 guy at this point.

Don't know if you know but new maps came out yestarday, have't played them yet but my son was up half the night,lol. My (or should I say our) handle is insertstupidname just remember sometimes its my 13 year old son who is on.

There are a couple guys at work who are addicted to this game. Sometimes they come in with bags uder their eyes from being up all night playing online.

I don't have a PS3 so I would need it for PC and I am not sure if my computer is up to the task.

Yeah it was like $9.99. I think there are 4 of them. They seem ok but haven't had a chance to try em out. I'm not big on buying add ons and stuff but I'd have to say if any are worth it it's have to be these. Plus my son said something about getting double point this weekend for playing the new maps. I think it has to do with the graffics and the engine. It moves very well, does that make sense? Your character moves very fluidly. And the graffics are the best I've seen yet in any game. Very realistic. There is a level in the single player game where you're the gunner on a C-130 (?) Gunship and you can choose between 3 super huge guns. But the screen is in that "black and white" mode like the real video you see from Iraq. And you have to blast the crap out of people on the ground. Looks real.

The online thing just help give the game some extra value once you finish the single player game. But there are a lot of challenges you have to complete to get better weapons and better scopes and whatnot.

I've always felt the COD line was very strong. But it's nice for them to get more modern instead of stuck in the WWII mode like they were.

the gunship is worth the price of Admission alone! damm .... I'm going to have to fire it up even though i should be working in the yard. Now i'm going to have to come up with an excuse for sitting on the couch all day? If i get in trouble, I'm blaming Bengal!

I play it, but on pc i don't care for consoles, especially for FPS consoles suck.
I bought it for the multiplayer, haven't tried the single player, usually war type games i'm not into, but multiplayer is fun.
I'm not really addicted to it, as it's "ok" for a fps, but it's more Quake type gameplay, as opposed to like Counter Strike where you actually can use team tactics ect..
I played it first few nights, and weekends till i lvled to 55, then i haven't played it as much.
I like smaller servers with about 12 people max, otherwise it's just a mess, and more annoying than anything, it gets to chaotic.
I like the smaller maps, me and my bro jump into an empty server and go one on one.
In my opinion, still nothing beats counterstrike, even the old original, still the best fps there is.
I don't know if PS3 users can play against PC users, probably not, but yeah, i'm down to own yer asses anytime.

Trem's definitely right about servers over 12 being annoying messes. I myself only play on hardcore mode on servers with strict rules. I can't play regular anymore because there are just way too many people using the P90 and RPD with double tap. Or they get the three grenade perk and the two weapon perk and use guns with grenade launchers and go on close quarters levels, use their grenades up and then kill themselves. How is that possibly fun in any way? It completely ruins the game.

That said, when it first came out it was a lot of fun.

I also play the PC version and only play on hardcore servers.. Regular servers suck.
It depends what mode you are playing. Teamdeath match is like Quake.. headquarters you have to use tatics..

I also just purchase the 360 version for my son and so I can play with friends and I hate FPS on consoles.
