Favorite mixed drinks (cocktails) thread

Nothing beats Redbull and Smirnoff 1:1 (sometimes a little more Smirnoff!) with lots of ice.


Other than that, SoCo and DrPepper is good if you want something sweeter. I only like sweet stuff in very small doses though, so most mixed drinks don't do much for me.

A lot of people hate tequila, but give me some Cuervo and a few slices of lime and I'm good to go.

No substitute for...
1. Fresh lime juice
2. Simple syrup (2 parts sugar and 1 part water, boiled, cooled down and used in drinks)

mix equal parts of that, with either:
rum (for a daiquiri)
or
Sausa Hornito's tequilla (for a margarita)

Feel free to add a "splash" (the smaller the better...) of strawberry pucker, or some other flavor as required to entice the girl to drink.

Yessireebob, I'm a burbon/scotch kinda guy. Although jameson and ginger ale is good on a hot day.

Mojito is also a favorite drink of mine, if made right. You have no idea how easy it is to fuck up a mojito.

I'll pretty much drink anything alcoholic, but some favorites are...

Dr. Pepper... a mug of beer with a shot of Amaretto dropped in... chug it! It tastes just like the Dr. Pepper soda.

I'm all about gin. Brokers or Bombay Sapphire for me. Tanqueray is overrated shite. Usually just with tonic, but sometimes with Wink.

Xmas day is usually pretty hot over here, so last xmas I grabbed a bottle of gin and worked my way through all the mixers in the fridge.

All get the thumbs up from me, great on a hot day, although my favourite mixers would be the agrum or the lemon, lime & bitters. Very refreshing.

I also really like scotch, just on the rocks. Doesn't have to be fancy. I'm happy with a blended malt. It's nice to splurge on the good stuff once in a while though.

I hate mixing drinks. My favorite drink is Russky Standard(Russian votka) straight. If the votka is a high quality votka than you shouldn't mix it with Red Bull or somethin. If the quality is average (like Absolut (I hate it btw)) than you can mix it. Just my .02.

I don't like mixed drinks either. My alcoholic drink of choice is a nice Riesling wine or a nice beer, ala Yuengling or Molson Canadian. If I must have liquor though, a nice single malt whisky on the rocks.

Finlandia Vodka with Five Alive Tropical fruit juice over ice. Preferably with the vodka chilled to freezer temperature. The vitamin C pretty much eliminates hangover too.

My favorite cocktail is the Long Island. I prefer a good Tequila on the rocks and will drink that over anything else.

Gin with apple juice is pretty good to get drunk; quick and easy.

If im buying the drinks its always fun to get an 'Exorcism' for the unlucky one. Shot of Black sambuca, GoldSchlager and Absinthe flamed up through a straw. If you dont throw up you get drunk within minutes after a couple of them

I like my screwdrivers, Bacardi white rum and Coke, Sour Puss and Vodka shooters are nice too. Long Island Iced Tea is great but they gotta make it right. Same with Zombies. Had a nice one after dinner last week. Would have had about 10 if I didn't have to drive the kids home after.

I used to drink rye and coke, but I get really violent and stupid on rye.
