This weekends camping trip...MANY PICS..

Ok, this past weekend, James says..the band is back up and running, we won't have any time (like last summer) so lets go to the lake. Ok, good idea (or so we thought)...we took off for Lake Murray here in southern Oklahoma. Here's the rest of the story..sorry for the # of pics..

Ok, well that first night, we froze our asses off!! next day, went to town bought 2 blankets..things were better...

Due to a forecast of rain, we moved the tent across the lake so we wouldn't be "stuck"..



Then we took off and had some fun..


(I KNOW it's not a Jackson..but I don't take them to the lake, that's what the Ibanhead is for..)

Anyway, back at the campsite, havin a good time..

Now..later that night..around 3 am...
Awaken to 60+ MPH winds...raining sideways...COLD bail out of tent..



Then sit back and watch while it disengrates...

RIP tent..only the 2nd time we used it BTW..grrr..



Such was the end of our trip...we headed for home.

cool pics, Jer. Looks like a beautiful spot. Every summer we talk about getting some gear & going camping - one year we might!

Bummer about the tent though. Is it a write-off or can it be resurrected?

I'd like start camping again. It's been quite a while. I fear I'm too use to box springs to really do it.

Murray is a nice lake. I camped there last August when it was hot as hell. Looks like you were having a good time till rain came.

Did you notice the pics of James look almost identical? It's like you photoshopped his pic from one background to another and replaced the beer from the first one with a smoke in the second!

I camped just once. For a music festival. Then, there was an ant invasion from one of the corners. Then I used my OFF insect repellent spray, which should normally be used on human skin. I just sprayed it to the corner. After that, no ants were able to get into my tent. Bastards
