I'm not religious, but I've read most of the bible. IMO, here are the two most important passages from the Book of Revelation, from right at the end:
22:18I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add unto them, God shall add unto him the plagues which are written in this book: 22:19and if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.
That means if you're a believer, you'd better quit playing amateur Nostradamus and take it exactly as it's written or you're fucked. Very few preachers, none of the televangelists, and certainly none of the end-time whackjobs seem to be able to "interpret" that part of the book very well. Maybe it's spelled out too plainly for them.
