Small venue in LA about 1300 people, they freaking rocked the place. Hammett was playing a Jackson RR for a few songs. Seeing them again on Sat.

That's tight, I heard about them playing. I didn't feel like dropping $200 on tickets though.

Did they play any new songs?
Did Kirk have a wah pedal glued to his foot?
Is Lars still trying to look like Fred Durst?
Is James still singing like Elvis?
Did Rob stand up straight at any point in the show?
Am I listening to "Master of Puppets" RIGHT NOW?*

        *Yes, I am.

Sorry, no pictures, I forgot my camera. The only newer stuff they played was Fuel, and the hits off the black album. Everything else was Old School Metallica : )

Disposable Heros, Seek and Destroy, Blackened, etc, MOP, etc.

They played for almost two hours, man I don't every get tired of seeing them, after seeing Metallica everything else is a let down.

Ahh, Disposable Heroes. Here's it real old school:

It's a ploy. He's playing that again so we all think the band have gone back to their thrash roots - just like they were claiming before St Anger came out.

I thought he didn't start using the Rhoads until the Black album though? I know it's his D Standard guitar. I made a thread about it awhile back.

He's used the Rhoads live since the Ride tour ~'85.

Yep - had the RR well before the Black Album.

They might as well go the whole hog and start playing Gibson 335's. James's guitars haven't looked too far off that recently.
