What I meant was we don't know if it was posted that you can't skate there. A lot of places have those signs up. If they did, those kids were in the wrong, plain and simple. When you're in the wrong, it's not wise to smart off to the cop telling you you can't skate here.

Have you seen the damage that skaters can do to a building or steps or whatever they decide to grind on? It's amazing what skateboards can do to granate steps. I have nothing against skateboarding, but it should be done at a skatepark. If that is Baltimore, I'm sure they have one or two there in town.

The cop is a grown man. A grown man in authority. I'm teaching my children to respect authority, not to question it's attitude. I'm not letting my kids, and they are kids, decide how to interact with authority. Too many kids questioning authority nowdays. Be it cops, teachers, principals, parents, whatever. Too many mouthy kids.

My kids will NOT be like them. Trust me on that. If they are, I'll do much, much worse than that cop did.

yes, the cop even said on the tape "your not allowed to skate here" or something to that affect. Its a city ordinance for Baltimore, this was on 20/20 or something like that last year or so...so to answer your question, skateboarding IS breaking the law...
