'86 Guitar player with Johnny Winter on the cover, and I think I have another from that year with Muddy Waters.

Other than that, my first GFTPM had Alone Again in it from way back in '87/'88. Cover's all torn off and it's got some holes in it - I used to make scrapbook type things and cut out pictures
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

'84 Guitar World featuring a very young Yngwie and Billy Sheehan.
"Bill, Smoke a Bowl and Crank Van Halen I, Life is better when I do that"
      Donnie Swanstrom 01/25/06..miss ya!

"Well, your friend would have Bell's Palsy, which is a facial paralysis, not "Balls Pelsy" like we're joking about here." Toejam's attempt at sensitivity.

            What a question.
I would have to look in the attic.
I have GP's from around '77 or so.
I also have a book published by the people at Guitar Player, essentially the history of guitar up that point, around 1978. Guitar Gods at that point in time were people like Joe Walsh, and Peter Frampton. Thank the Gods for Heavy Metal!

I have an '83 Guitar Player with Iron Maiden on the cover. That's probably my oldest, all though I have one from around the same time with SRV on the cover. So one of those is my oldest

Don't know... It would have to be an early Guitar for the Practicing Musician. I've got a couple of boxes of them.

Columbia Metro looks like something out a bad Steven King movie, if you know what I mean...(Langoliers).
