Eh that takes time, even my friends slip now and then .. at least people are trying which means a lot to me.

Today after court I went to the DMV and the state of NH has changed the license system to a new real id type system. The DMV usually takes no more than 10 minutes here. Today it took 3 hours!

They had a trooper working, handing out forms checking people in and came over when I walked in asking if I was there for a renewal. I told him no I'm here for a name change and he said oh no problem do you have your marriage certificate? He assumed I was changing my last name due to marriage ..people wh knew me as Kev have a harder time grasping the whole pronoun issue, people who didn't just see another chick ...

Nah, it ends up being more of an ordeal in my own head. Even wearing guys jeans, harley shirt and harley ball cap I still get maam'ed. Hell I had a drunk guy grab my ass at McGees in Chicago. When we got there the bouncer didn't believe it was me in on my driver license and then after several beverages we were leaving and this dude walked up and put his arm around my waist.. "hey what's up?" he asked.. I just said hey and went to head for the door and the dudes hand went down my ass and grabbed.. I was totally unprepared and shocked ...

Today in line we got to talking to the girl in front of us. She had mentioned she had just gotten married and misplaced her driver license. She needed to replace it for her honeymoon. In the course of the conversation she mentioned her "wife" ..

When she realized Dee and me were together she asked if we were a couple and I said yeah ...she then asked if we did the civil ceremony in NH or the whole marriage thing in Mass. So from that side of things people just see it as 2 girls ..

As far as my records ...the people never gave my paperwork a 2nd look or even me for the matter. I think they were more worried about the 3-4 hour back log ...

I think most people just don't care and of those who do, most just wont say anything.
