Exactly! We may act like dickholes on silly topics and whatnot. We'll bicker and argue just like families and friends do sometimes. Wow..

Well that was emotional for me. I didn't expect to get up this am and see Jess posting. She has always been the apple of my eye and I'm so proud of the woman and mother she is becoming. At times I'd worried over the years that I'd failed her but when I look at her today I can stand with pride.

She's right when she says that we have an unconventional family but the bottom line is that we love each other. At times it has been hard for me to feel like what I needed to do was such a drastic thing and I'd never find acceptance. It was all based in fear. When I hear things such as what was written here it re-enforces the fact that this was the right decision.

After seeing that awesome pic of your kickass family theres no doubt in my mind that you've found your place! Family really is where it's at.

To be honest I was happy about this all, then when surgery was mentioned got uncomfortable (me and my junk is like THIS! *crosses fingers* son! ), but in all honestly that picture speaks volumes about the situation. I think the biggest physical change will be this huge weight thats off your shoulders

Women .. which leads to a good point. A lot of people equate gender and sexuality as one thing. The reality is that they are not and they are only loosely linked to each other.

That's really interesting. Do you consider yourself homosexual? It also brings up a political point - if you marry a woman, then become a woman yourself, is your marriage still legal if your state doesn't recognize gay marriages? There are interesting times ahead.
