Picture is still on DiMarzio.com. Yeah, he went kinda fashionista for a little bit, not sure who he was getting advice from, but it just didn't seem to work out. Maybe he's still talking to Derek Sherinian. (Can't bag on him too much, the guy wears "The Alley" t-shirts all the time, mad props for the Chicago love!)

I think GOR desribed the style. It was when that whole metroseuxual trend was going on. He had a paisley purple jacket, designer shades..that's all good..but his hairdo..it almost looked Emo. That was a short-lived look for JP..prolly just for that add I'm hoping!

Dammit..I kind find that pic. I went on the Dimarzio site and seen their pic, that's not it. He's got like Beatle hair and shades. Eh, not that it matters..dude can play! He was really dressed up for the add..I just can't find it. Oh, Someone said the same thing I did on another seven string site..they're talking about the pic too...but no pic.

BTW..I must share this. There is a local asshole..not a bad guitar player, he's ok. But a real asshole who actually thinks he's John Petrucci..literally. He copies eveything he does..when John cut his hair, so did he..when John grew a goat, so did he..when John grew his hair long again ..so did he. When John bulked up..guess what..so did he..Now he's shirtless on myspace kissin' his biceps. At least this explains his new found obsession for working out.

My other friend in my Van Halen band was like that. He actually thought he was Eddie. The asshole actually started smoking cigerettes like crazy just so he could smoke, blow smoke rings and keep a burnning butt in the headstock..

what assholes..I know these guys...and guess what else. They were both in a Skid Row tribute band together and hated each other..two assholes.

His bulk hasn't exactly been a clean one, but he's added a TON of lean mass, and he'll shed the fat in no time once he starts cutting.

And he DOES look a bit flushed, I thought of creatine too when I saw the picture, but 'just' taking creatine doesn't give u muscle like that.

My point is and was: he's been bulking seriously for like 2 years, during that time they've recorded an album and been on a WORLD tour continuously. Playing what he plays almost every night, sleeping on a tour bus while driving around the country and still finding the energy/time to train like that...THAT's what I admire.

You're absolutely right. I didn't mean to imply he hadn't been dedicated, simply he appears to have added a good deal of fat (he must have dirty bulked). Nonetheless, with the increase in lean mass he'll shed the fat quick and be a sliced SOB when he's done. Also, I'm in agreement, the demand of touring and BB aren't really compatible, I wonder where he does his lifting? Local gyms? His legs are big, too. So you know he's been hitting squats and deadlifts, both of which aren't easily accomplished on a tour bus.

Depends on how much creatine you are on, and of course he's still working out. I've been on creatine before and I notice a large difference from when I'm on and off it. When I'm on it, I look a lot bulkier, when I'm off it, It's more of a cut and definition rather than a size mass.

He definitely looks like he is packing a lot of water weight, but he's obviously working out.

That wasn't a good look for JP. I guess he didn't think so either. I really liked that guitar tho. I tried one just like it..same color. Honestly, one of the best playing/sounding guitars I've ever played.
