Chad Reed and Kevin Windham

Unless I'm looking in the wrong places, I can't seem to find any information as to why these two guys are not racing the 2008 AMA Outdoor Motocross series. Of the two, Windham is an outdoor specialist and I was hoping he score a championship for Honda. So far, it's been the James Stewart show with him winning the first four races of the season.

Does anyone know the scoop on Kevin and Chad?

Wow, you have been out of the loop.

I just found a brief note that says Windham has decided to take the summer off and that he may, for shits and giggles, race a few outdoor events later in the year. I haven't been able to determine if he still has sponsorship by Honda.

By the way, McGrath's last championship was in 2000. He did race a few events in 2006, but it was strictly for promo purposes.

Hehe, when I followed the sport it was all about Jeff Ward and Johnny O'Mara.

I go even further back to when the Europeans first came to the States.

I was a big fan of Team Honda during the late 70's and early 80's. Talk about a "dream team."

Chad Reed hasn't raced the outdoor series for the past couple of season's now.
Jeremy McGrath started that years ago when his career was winding down. Supercross only for the king...
That is unusual for Kevin Windham not to be running the outdoor series, but he is getting older so it makes sense...
I grew up in the Jeff Ward, Ricky Johnson era myself and raced for years, until I got tired of beating myself up I still ride... Just an occasional vet race for me now
