You are an incredible woman and Im so proud of you for standing up there and defending your self and showing other women out there who this has happend to that they CAN come back from such a terrible ordeal, also that justice can be served! Love ya girly!

I hope the judge specifies that the sentences run consecutively so the guy has zero chance of seeing the outside world ever again. Thank goodness justice has been served with these convictions!

Kristi, kudos to you for helping put this POS away. He picked the wrong woman to mess with and you kicked his ass in court! Tekky must be extremely proud to call you his wife, and I know his support has been a big source of strength for you as well.

      God bless y'all!

Great news. I hope the judge throws the book at him and makes an example out of him.

I may be in the minority here, but here is a "professional" guy who used the system which was intended to protect society from the criminal element, to inflict harm on those he swore to serve and protect. He deserves NO special treatment, including where he spends the remaining days of his life. I say put the turdbucket in general population and let the remaining justice be carried out.

Sorry for the rant, but I have zero tolerance for scum of the Earth. Glad it's over and hopefully his appeal process will fizzle out like a fart in the wind.

Sadly, this POS is protected from "cruel and unusual punishment".

That's always been a concept that I have never been able to grasp. With the horror that he put these women through, why would doing anything besides putting him in jail for the rest of his life be cruel and unusual?

I agree 125%, he deserves to live in "HELL" after he inflicted so much pain to so many people.

SEEGERMANY I agree with that on a very visceral level. I do understand however that as distasteful as it is, the guy's not been sentenced to death, and death is assuredly what he would get if he were put into a state prison general population.

I am equally certain that his position as a law enforcement officer is only going to hurt him come sentencing time. It seems he did not commit his crimes under color of law, but I would imagine any judge is going to take into consideration the fact that he used training given to him by the public intended to assist in the execution of his duties to cover up his crime when weighing sentencing factors.

A just society imposes the punishment that is codified. It should be done dispassionately, with an even hand. Letting a guy get murdered isn't that. If society wants rapists to get that sort of treatment, society should man up & write the law that way. None of this "punishment in the dark" where nobody has to take responsibility for it. I for one am not squeamish about being "responsible" for seeing some shitbag gutted because I voted for a guy who promised me he'd sponsor legislation allowing just that. It ain't gonna happen, and fortunately or unfortunately, in a civil society you aren't going to get what you want all the time (unfortunately for me, very fortunately for all of you).

Having said that- It's a bunch of high-minded bullshit that's awfully easy for me to puke out sitting as I am outside of this situation, knowing the Tekkys only as nice people who like guitars I like. Even with just that connection, it makes my fists clench.

Being a judge must be a tough job for the ones that don't go in with some sort of political axe to grind (those that do that are stone sociopaths). You have to somehow put your natural, very human empathic urges aside ("my God, the victim reminds me so much of my daughter...that son of a bitch") and do what the law demands of you ("wish I could fucking draw and quarter him, but the people, through their representitives in the legislature, unfortunately did not put that on the menu. Shit. 20 years it is I guess. I need a drink.")

Kudos to Mr. Tekky for swallowing his anger and doing what's right. I don't think any of us have any idea how brutally hard that was, and will continue to be. It's easy to kill a person, physically. Nothing heroic about that. What is heroic, in this context, is him not doing so, not because he doesn't WANT to, but because he's all fuckin' man and is willing to live with his anger, push it aside, and recognize that he has critical duties for this life in other places.

And awe of Mrs. Tekky, who did not do the easy and extremely understandable thing, stay quiet, wait for others to do the dirty business of putting this man down, and instead chose to walk in the sun, in the bright daylight, with her head high. The lady's not for hiding. Amazing.

                    God Bless both of you.
