I still think downgrading Pluto from a planet - after all these years, and based solely on size - is still the absolute dumbest thing mankind could ever perpetrate.
What? You think any old piece of rock should be classed as a planet? Pluto is tiny. Might as well call our moon a planet.
For chrisakes people let's not offend the Plutonians! fuck!
When are you all going to learn some galactic policies and manners. Bunch of solar system hicks.....

Earthlings, ya just can't take 'em anywhere.
Catapultam habeo. Nisi pecuniam omnem mihi dabis, ad caput tuum saxum immane mittam!
First, only 5% of the astronomers on the planet voted for the new designation. If the rest ignore it, they'll probably change it again soon. Second, they are basically tossing Pluto a bone by naming the whole size class after it. That's cool, why not just call it a "p-Class" planet? In the way that on Star Trek they call Earthlike worlds "M-Class" - planets?
Instead of deciding whether these bodies are planets, why not simplify by considering them planets but have various classifications, such that you know if it's an Earthlike planet, a barren rocky planet, a gas giant, etc....?
