DF do Happy Hardcore using guitars rather than keyboards. It's the same basic style IMO. But DF are shit at it.

I see the connection that you are making. They both play fast music with melody.

DF, however, uses real instruments which results in better tone. They have better vocals, better lyrics, better melodies, SOLOS, better rhythm section, better compositions, they're orders of magnitude less monotonous.

DF is basically doing Helloween but faster.

Well it's a matter of opinion. I'm a metal fan, always have been always will be. But I appreciate the rave stuff for its melody and feelgood thing. It's like Van Halen on speed, which is cool.
I just think DF have taken the rave sound and done it on real instruments, but it doesn't work. The rave DJs mix all different sounds together to create a listening experience. Dragonforce just do the same shit over and over - happy happy, shout shout, joy joy, hyper hyper, stupid noise, hyper, happy, JOY.
My fucking head wants to explode just thinking about that shit. I fucking can't stand them.
Like I said, I don't understand why they're lumped in with metal bands. They're not even close to metal. Def Leppard or Dire Straits are closer to Iron Maiden or Priest than Dragonforce ever will be.
