Whoever said Maiden are uncoverable was spot on. I've never heard a good cover of theirs either - the Opeth one is alright but it's impossible to beat Maiden at their own game.

Imagine how Metallica might have done that song in the mid Eighties....
That said, other than "Jaymz" singing like a cock, as he has done for many years now, it sounds okay. The little lick Kirk does about the 1:50 odd mark is very recognizably Kirk, despite it only being a few short notes.
The guitar tone is beyond horrible. Fucking atrocious.
Kirk's solo is utterly forgettable. I like his little fills in the song, but the main solos are shite.
