First: you assign a greater legal and moral danger to dropping an 'F-Bomb' on television, which you can supposedly be put in jail for, than spreading hateful and VERY dangerous ideas (it is on the basis of the grade of potential these ideas have of becoming truly applicable, that they are judged and possibly convicted for).

Secondly: what I said about Vlaams Blok voters was FACTUAL. This IS the fact of the matter. I, in no way, am saying that Vlaams Blok themselves lack intelligence, far from it. They are incredibly intelligent and smart, so was Hitler. But in being so intelligent, but lacking morals which I would call humane, they knowingly address the less-empowered people of society, preying on their ignorance, fears and malcontents. Hitler anyone? [Since you brought him up].

And solipsism, I'll accept as a compliment.

As far as "score low on tests", I'm sorry. I do not see too many Americans leaving the United States to be educated in European universities. Some may do a semester away, but not much more than that. Every school in this country is absolutely crawling with foreigners.

They didn't come here because we suck.

In fact....again, I appologize for the ad hominem, but.....are you here? I got the impression in a previous post that you were....why?

You simply CAN NOT deny that the US has almost insurmountable problems concerning both:

      1) social inequality

      and

      2) sub-par education. [talking about base-level education, regardless of IQ or social environment, obviously not every person in the world is capable of getting a Ph.D. in Astrophysics]

I hope you purposefully misread / and or comprehended my statements.

And I love how you said 'every school in this country is absolutely crawling with foreigners'. That just singlehandedly proved every single one of my points. Thank you.

I wouldn't deny that. But I would ad that it's primary education that is suffering. Colleges and Universities are doing quite well and attract students from all over the world.

But we do have problems in primary education and social inequalty. No doubt.

I think we are both on the same page here.

Not all Americans are idiots. But I still think I'm in the 70% you quoted, not the 30%. HA!

i don't make this sh*t up...i live very close to kennesaw ga...below is the article and the link for the entire thing...good reading...d.m.

                " © 2007 WorldNetDaily.com

As the nation debates whether more guns or fewer can prevent tragedies like the Virginia Tech Massacre, a notable anniversary passed last month in a Georgia town that witnessed a dramatic plunge in crime and violence after mandating residents to own firearms.

In March 1982, 25 years ago, the small town of Kennesaw – responding to a handgun ban in Morton Grove, Ill. – unanimously passed an ordinance requiring each head of household to own and maintain a gun. Since then, despite dire predictions of “Wild West” showdowns and increased violence and accidents, not a single resident has been involved in a fatal shooting – as a victim, attacker or defender.

The crime rate initially plummeted for several years after the passage of the ordinance, with the 2005 per capita crime rate actually significantly lower than it was in 1981, the year before passage of the law.

Prior to enactment of the law, Kennesaw had a population of just 5,242 but a crime rate significantly higher (4,332 per 100,000) than the national average (3,899 per 100,000). The latest statistics available – for the year 2005 – show the rate at 2,027 per 100,000. Meanwhile, the population has skyrocketed to 28,189.

By comparison, the population of Morton Grove, the first city in Illinois to adopt a gun ban for anyone other than police officers, has actually dropped slightly and stands at 22,202, according to 2005 statistics. More significantly, perhaps, the city’s crime rate increased by 15.7 percent immediately after the gun ban, even though the overall crime rate in Cook County rose only 3 percent. Today, by comparison, the township’s crime rate stands at 2,268 per 100,000.

This was not what some predicted.

In a column titled “Gun Town USA,” Art Buchwald suggested Kennesaw would soon become a place where routine disagreements between neighbors would be settled in shootouts. The Washington Post mocked Kennesaw as “the brave little city … soon to be pistol-packing capital of the world.” Phil Donahue invited the mayor on his show.

Reuters, the European news service, today revisited the Kennesaw controversy following the Virginia Tech Massacre.

Police Lt. Craig Graydon said: “When the Kennesaw law was passed in 1982 there was a substantial drop in crime … and we have maintained a really low crime rate since then. We are sure it is one of the lowest (crime) towns in the metro area.” Kennesaw is just north of Atlanta.

The Reuters story went on to report: “Since the Virginia Tech shootings, some conservative U.S. talk show hosts have rejected attempts to link the massacre to the availability of guns, arguing that had students been allowed to carry weapons on campus someone might have been able to shoot the killer.”

Virginia Tech, like many of the nation’s schools and college campuses, is a so-called “gun-free zone,” which Second Amendment supporters say invites gun violence – especially from disturbed individuals seeking to kill as many victims as possible.

Cho Seung-Hui murdered 32 and wounded another 15 before turning his gun on himself."

Interesting article. But I'd like to see how they inforce the manditory gun law.

Not a town I would want to live in.

But the reward is worth the risk to criminals. They wouldn't do it if it wasn't. So they don't care one iota if the homeowner/victim is packing. They want the shit and they want it now.

But maybe, just maybe, we could put a dent in it if everyone had a side holster with a subnosed .38 in it.

But that's not a country I want to live in. I have a problem with the military presense at every airport. Don't see that shit in Europe. So if we go that route, I might be France bound to live with my buddy Johnnie Depp.

I'm flabbergasted. Regardless of how well a 'mandatory gun law' seems to have upheld, the simple fact of the matter as it appears to me is, that this is like saying:

"That person has a massive bloodcloth in his brains and is bleeding incessantly from the nose. Let's put some cotton up his nose and he'll be fine for the future"

Giving everyone free college would not help at all. Most drop out of our free high school because they are lazy and would rather go chill with their gang then learn. I can promise you that anyone who wants to go to college can by means of need based grants and scholarships.

Really, do you LOVE how I said that? Why? What point of yours does it make? Is that somehow insulting?

If I said "This bar is crawling with women" would that equally be negative? No, of course not!

So for YOU, the problem cannot be "every school in this country is absolutely crawling with (BLANK)". I know this because if I said "every school in this country is crawling with hot chicks", you'd have no problem.

So for YOU, the word must be "foreigners". Why is foreigners a perjorative term to you?

Yeah. Exactly. So don't take your problem with foreigners and lay it on me. Foreigner is an adjective. Nothing more. Apparently to you it's a bad word, but that's your own bag of biases you need to work through. Nice work shooting yourself in the face. This squares nicely with your original, rage-filled, hatred dripping post bashing Americans. You are a very, very, VERY angry person who just can't tolerate anyone that's different from you.

Oh, but I suppose *I* am being unfair.

This is another side issue that I'm interested in. It hasn't been an issue yet but I'm sure it will sooner or later.

As my kids get older and find friends and want to go to their house and play, I always talk to the parents before and I ask them if there are guns in the house. So far, none of his friends parents are packing.

But the first time I get a yes to that question I will politely say that my son can't come to your house to play but your kid is very welcome at my house.

I can only imagine what kind of response I'll get to that but I don't care. It's my job to protect my sons. Keeping them away from firearms is one way to protect them, IMHO.
