Fair use was the former ability of people to take something they bought and use it in different formats (for example taping their records to be able to listen to on a walkman or in their car.) With the DMCA all that needs to be done now is place a little bit on encryption on it and it now become illegal to even attempt to do this. I'm all for artists being compensated for their work, however I feel that once I purchase their art I should be able to do what I want with it.

NJ you have to apply for a permit to buy a gun, then wait, then get said permit, go buy gun. One permit, one gun.
Down here I can go buy 5 if I want with no waiting period, just a background check thru the GBI.
Point being, NJ does everything they can to restrict my rights and make it difficult.
And, certain guns are illegal in some states. For example, a SIG 229SCT is illegal in 6 states (NJ being one of them) because of the 17 round clip. It is legal here in GA.

Yep, that sucks waiting for a gun. Because when I want to shoot someone, I want to shoot them right fuckin' NOW!
A little sarcasm there. But I have no problems with waiting periods for gun ownership.
One permit = one gun sounds resonable to me.
Otherwise you can hoard them. And we all know what the government does to those that hoard them. Branch Davidians ring a bell?
It should be difficult to buy a gun. More difficult than getting a drivers license. Doesn't sound like it in Georgia.I'm angry because you're stupid

Yep, same here. You need a permit to carry concealed. Otherwise, a quick background check and you're good to go. I don't understand why people have a problem with that. If i'm a law abiding citizen, why shouldn't I be able to buy what I want, when I want?

I'll get behind it when the background checks are 100% accurate.
So far, they are far from it.
That and I loathe guns. Handguns really, I have no problems with rifles.
Where are all the stolen guns that the criminals are getting coming from? Law abiding citizens is where. If the citizens didn't have them, the criminals wouldn't either.I'm angry because you're stupid

That's a fact. Pure and simple.
How do we deal with demand for anything illegal? Take away the supply or take away the demand?
Supply it is. That's how we do it. Well, with drugs anyway. Not with guns.I'm angry because you're stupid

I use the war on drugs to show how the government usually deals with threats to the citizens. Unless it has to do with handguns.
I wonder how many gun manufacturers are located in Mexico. I have no idea. But it's a bit harder to manufacture a handgun than it is to grow a stalk of weed.I'm angry because you're stupid

Small arms manufacturers in this country are relatively small operations. They are not "Big Guns" or whatever ridiculous analog there is to "Big Oil" or "Big Tobacco" or "Big Whateverwedon'tlike" chosen.
I laugh at the term the "gun lobby". You know who the lobby is? Your fellow citizens.
