I thought about going to that show, but meh.

Toucan Son of Sam was the one doing the decapitating. Originally, they were supposed to be an "all video" band. That is to say, no CD's just videos. Which I'm pretty sure was supposed to be a parody of Metallica's infamous "we don't do videos" quote.

Anyway, the first VHS came with a cassette tape of the songs. The first (eventual) CD release did have the Cereal Killer song on it, but the actual cereal jingles (Trix, Lucky Charms, and Rice Krispies) were edited out. Which totally neutered the song's meaning and humor. The guy who played the toucan was actually a pretty good singer.

They also got sued by... wait for it... Metallica, for Electric Harley House of Love. I think the Jello tape I have (somewhere) has all the original stuff on it... not sure if there's a CD version or if they're all Jelly. I think that first album was comedy genius, all I ever heard after that one was the Bear Song or whatever.
