Zeegs, that's terrible man! Look, man, do NOT guilt yourself because you were having trouble with the man before this. Your outlook before was the right one. I know the guy was your friend and I am sorry for him and for you.
But the viewpoint you had taken when you had to cancel the show over his jailing, was the right one. I'm very sorry he's gone but don't you or your bandmates beat yourselves up . It's so sad that he was apparently on a downhill road, but you can never know when things will happen.
May he rest in peace, and may those who loved him somehow make their peace with this too. We have to cherish those we love while we have them, but still, when they are screwing up we have to call them on it too.
I know about losing someone and driving yourself nuts with a guilt trip. Don't do it to yourself. You're a good guy and I know you did your best by the guy. Don't play the "what if" game.Ron is the MAN!!!!Comment

Thanks for the comments guys. I still don't really have a grasp on this. He may have been a fuck-up, but he was a hell of a nice guy who would give you the shirt off his back.
