...but it seams in life the people that are good hearted decent folks that maybe made a few mistakes always end up dying to soon.

The people that are truely evil and hurt others always seam to be the ones that stick around longer than most.

Zeeg, I know only too well that numb feeling, that astonishment about what has happened, the urge to go out and tell everyone in the street "X is dead!!!", people who are still going about their everyday business, people who wouldn't have a clue who your pal was. It's a shitty feeling.

My condolences to you and yours, I hope you get to a point quickly where you can look back on the good times and have a laugh about stuff. Remember that when it's your time to go, it's time, simple as that. Nothing you could have done would have prevented or contributed to your friend's death, it's all swings and roundabouts. Please don't waste any more of your time thinking you could have done more, or that you are at fault, you did all you could, the rest is just destiny.

So sorry to hear this Zeegs...my though are with you, the band, and all of those who lives are affected by this tragic loss.

All you can do is come to grips with the fact that something went wrong upstairs and the guy who intentionally crashed his truck was, at least temporarily, not the guy you knew. Celebrate the good times and continue on while upholding your fondest memories...let his legacy live through the band and music. I'll bet he's already taken a spin behind Bonzo's kit

I drove down to the site this morning. What a messed up feeling. It's gut wrenching seeing pieces of debris strewn 100 feet from the tree. I found several chunks of transmission housing embedded in the ground. I don't imagine there was a whole lot left of the truck.

There is indeed more to the story, but I don't feel like getting into it yet. I spoke to him after the jail thing, and it seemed like everything was going to work out okay.

I'm not one to carry around unwarranted guilt, but I did give him shit pretty bad about ruining the show. I know that wouldn't make him do this, but I can't help but feel that it was a contributing factor.

I feel bad, and maybe I deserve to.

You can't imagine anything you would say would cause this.
It was likely a horrible tragic accident.

People that are "sick" with the affliction that would make them contemplate harmong themselves seriously will pursue it on their own terms.
You can't read their minds, and it's not something you can prevent unless you are TRULY believing that they are willing and capable ahead of time.

It is tempting to blame yourself, but aside from a superhuman premonition - there is nothing that can stop a person determined and blinded enough to do it.

I hope and pray that your bud finds peace,but right now you - his family and friends need it more than he does.
His earthly troubles are behind him.
