Probably nowhere near the worst, but I always hated GnR's covers. Axl usually drove me up the fukkin' wall to begin with, but "Live & Let Die-yie" and "Knockin' on Heaven's Do-a-woah" took it to a whole different level of annoying.
Agreed. Those two get my vote for worst ever. Axl built a career off the multi-syllable phrase-endings like "ie-yie" and "oh-whoah".
Right after that is Aerosmith trying to cover their "prehab" selves.
Doesn't work for me. They will never have songs as good as the original Greatest Hits.
I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood
The most human thing we can do is comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable.
The Dixie Chicks destroyed Landslide by Fleetwood mac.
Amen brother! The Dixie Chicks have almost made it impossible for me to listen to a dobra because they stick that hideous sound in damn near every song they do.
I know this is a "worst" thread, but do any of you guys have Skid Row's "B-Sides?" Pretty cool disc featuring covers of Psycho Therapy, Come On And Love Me, Delivering The Goods, Little Wing, and What You're Doing.
Another one that does GOOD covers (does funny equal good?) is Richard Cheese. Youtube him and laugh your ass off. His version of People=Shit is fucking classic.
Lets not forget Me First and the Gimme Gimmes. They are good in small doses.
And Wing is all real baby. I'm trying to find a Wing Tour Shirt! HA!
Not good remakes:
Judas Priest - Paint It Black
Van Halen - You're No Good
G'n'R's Spaghetti Incident CD
Good remakes:
Type-O-Negative - Paint It Black{All the remakes they've done sound pretty good!}
Helloween - Hocus Pocus
Godsmack - Good Times, Bad Times
Scorpions - I Can't Explain
Gorky Park - My Generation
G
Worst Cover Band: Metallica - Turn the Page, Whiskey in the Jar - truly horrible
Honorable Mention for Worst Cover Band: Guns 'n Roses - Live and Let Die, Knockin' on Heaven's Door
Best Cover Band: Anthrax - Love Her All I Can, Sabbath Bloody Sabbath
Honorable Mention for Best Cover Band: tie between Van Halen and Type O Negative
I want REAL change. I want dead bodies littering the capitol.

Ugg, I couldn't agree more. Axl has the most annoying "nose" singing and everyone thought it was the greatest. His voice sounds like cats fighting.
