Yeah, the vocalist is a little out, but the from what I've heard of Savatage (albeit very little), the vocalist wasn't exactly their strongpoint IMO. I thought the band did a great job playing the music, aside from the technical issue with the lead in the beginning. The middle solo was pretty good! You guys must be in amazing bands to come down hard on this vid.

I am huge savatage fan and of their original guitarist(criss oliva) and trust me that cover was pathetic
maybe that is why i laughed at it so much?

We played a gig with another band a couple of months ago. Musicaly, they were superior to us... But their singer was very crappy. Off key 90% of the time. I was wondering how some good musicians could not get a better singer.

Worst Cover Band of All Time!!!

Fucking hell, that is toe-curlingly bad. Just look at the drummer's face behind the guitarist, you can feel his pain, he's got that wide-eyed stare that looks like he's about to drop his sticks and run. I tell you what happened here - they were in a tiny rehearsal room for months, getting pissed and stoned, and things weren't too bad, they knew 2 tunes reasonably well, then one of them says "I've got us a gig!". Thing is, they need to play 3 numbers, so they have a crack at this and think it will all be cool. At the rehearsal, everyone says "Yeah, I'll practice this one at home along with the record, iron out all the dodgy bits, it'll be fine". Nothing worse than busking at a gig, hoping the rest of the band will camoflage the fact you haven't done your homework and don't know the song - then you find that they are all hoping the same thing. Ask me how I know!

Oh, and I agree with the comment about that "Simply the Best" video, some of those people were quite obviously not the full shilling. I'll happily take the piss out of anyone I feel deserves it, but even I'm not cunty enough to laugh at people who obviously have serious mental health issues, it's like laughing at cripples. That said, they weren't all retards*, one or two of them were just deluded twats, they are fair game!

during my youtube searches, This one here didnt sound too bad. the band was really good, (obviously they are pro musicians as a backing band for all the singers) the kid singing aint too bad. its not an easy song to sing. its Finland's version of Idol. this kid does Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers.

It's pretty evident here that those farts can't count at all, I have seen a lot of shit but never seen a live band where none of the band members have at least the slightest sense of rhythm.
