Yo;
My grandma died while I was on my way from work to the nursing home (conveniently and weirdly located right next to the funeral home bearing the same name-wtf?)..she died about 10-15 minutes before I arrived; that sucks I didn't get to say goodbye. I waited for my dad, and we went in, and rigor mortis already set in... and she looked like she died gasping eyes shut mouth wide open- kinda haunting.
I really regret only being able to see her for about an hour (at least I got to take her outside), a weekend or two ago..
Just really sucks... as well as she was responding to the chemo, and only 68.. nobody knew she only had a week or two left- I don't even think she knew.
I've never really lost anybody really close to me, so its a weird new emptiness.... I'm either dealing with it better than I thought, or not dealing with it I'm not sure.
I shucked out and bummed a pack of smokes...ah well..
She died of liver and colon cancer... (thanks Monsanto!)
R.I.P. Granny.
