I've got something similar (I think) called amazing slowdowner. Stretches the song changes the pitch and so on. It has definitely helped me out.

I hate to resurrect this thread but I was messing around with this thing again. It truly is a great program. It seems if you boost Kamelot songs up 1 whole tone Roy Khan sounds like a female singer. I have used it a few times to practice and it's quite useful.
            "Dear Dr. Bill,
I work with a woman who is about 5 feet tall and weighs close to 450 pounds and has more facial hair than ZZ Top." - Jack The Riffer

"OK, we can both have Ben..joint custody. I'll have him on the weekends. We could go out in my Cobra and give people the finger..weather permitting of course.." -Bill Z. Bub

That is a great find! It seems to use more resources than the Amazing Slowdowner, but you can't beat free, and someone with the right tech skills could possibly correct that.

EDIT: It also seems to not work with .wma's... that sucks

Wow, great program! Try it with Black Sabbath's Into The Void. Set the Speed for 200% and you'll swear it's Holy Wars!

lol, yeah--but not just the intro, the verse even more so. I wonder what Holy Wars sounds like at 200%--or if I anybody can play at that speed

I've been using this program for a couple of weeks now. Nice, simple tool. I like the loop feature.

okay, you can slow the speed on windows media player, but not the pitch. This will change the pitch 20 cents either way from standard 440?

this software is amazing! My band is planning on playing a cover of Metallica's seek and destroy but in D-standard tuning instead of E-standard. With this software, I can listen to seek and destroy as though Metallica was playing in D-standard. Awesome!! Thanks for posting.
