Saw it tonight/last night and it was fucking amazing. The AC was out in the theatre and it was hot(TX hot), but I sat through the whole thing (2.5 hours) unable to move. When Ledger died it was sad to see the passing of someone who's talent was just starting to become evident. His talent was definetly realized beyond any doubt in my mind with this role. The cast as whole was very good with no weak players at all. The visuals were perfect especially the car chases. Also the effect they used for two face was great. The storyline was fluid and kept your pulled in through out. If you go to see this movie and do not like it I would be at a loss for words.

Y'know, everyone's been saying that he really put everything he had into this role - his co-stars as well as people who saw the movie.
Nothing in life is without consequence. Maybe he knew that he would never be able to top that role. Maybe he put so much into it that he had nothing left to give, and simply blinked out.
I never did hear the results of the autopsy - was it drugs or did he just keel over?
Anyway, if it wasn't drugs, then I'd say he put everything he had into the role, literally.I want to depart this world the same way I arrived; screaming and covered in someone else's blood

I can't wait to see this too. I wonder how much of the sets I will recognize from being filmed in Chicago.

In all honesty, I have to wonder; how much of the hype and draw is simply morbid curiosity? If Ledger hadn't died, would we be having this discussion about how it brought in $155 million, is the greatest movie in years? Probably not. And I'll wait until it comes out on DVD or something. Not saying it isn't a good movie, but I think it got more draw from the lead actor being found dead than general public interest, especially after the past few have been awful movies.

Why the hell do these people end up in Batman?
The fruity colors in all the first ones, no one took it up the pooper. They finally redo it in a serious, darker style, and they get people who took it up the pooper

End of fuckin' discussion.
I haven't watched any of the Keaton/Kilmer/Clooney ones beyond that first viewing - none of them were worth revisiting. They all had more in common with the tv show, but with the tongue in cheek humour sucked out. Batman Begins is absolutely worth watching again. and again. I'm glad to hear that the new movie seems to be continuing the good work of the last one.Hail yesterday

I loved the first Batman movie with Keaton.
He played Batman way better than the others after him untill Bale.
Bale is the best Batman but not a Bruce Wayne.
That goes to Keaton.
I recall a TV interview after Keaton left, about how they decided which actor gets the batman spot. I wasn't expecting the answer they gave.
The actor comes in and puts the Batman head piece/mask on and the deciding factor is/are the lips and chin area.
I was expecting must rehearse the lines correctly and capture the Batman feel attitude. I realized then the Batman character doesn't have many lines, he just mostly fights and the Wayne character gets the majority of the lines.
I thought it was interesting the Batman actor is about how the lips and chin look when wearing the mask.Peace, Love and Happieness and all that stuff...

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.
Yes, there's a bee in the pudding.

For me personally Ledgers death only makes me sad because there's no chance of him in a third movie if it ever happens. I have been waiting for Dark Knight since Batman begins. everyone in the cast could have died or become serial killers or puppy rapers, it wouldn't have stopped my excitement about seeing this movie. the hype started when the Joker card was showned in Batman begins. Ledgers death i'm sure pulled in some extra people, but if those craptastic spiderman movies pulled in the big money with out someone dying in real life, this movie would have too, just for batman vs. jokerIn the future though I need to remember to not buy guitars while on Nyquil
