Very good movie I think, best movie of the year without a doubt.
But I also like the first Batman movies, but the new and the old are two completely different things, the old being more true to the comics, so I won't compare them, instead I'm just glad we get more good Batman movies.
The most annoying thing with the new movie is how Bale talk when he is Batman, sounds like he is trying to scream like Max Cavalera in a low voice!
Other than that, great movie, Heath was great, so were the special effects!

I think it was great I don't like such movies much but this one was great... Ledger's performance was incredible, he deserves the oscar imo..

Good movie, definately a top 10 comic book based movie. I think it has been way overhyped though, which is good and bad...........

Decent movie. They need to figure out a batsuit that allows Bale to talk normal.

Ledger was good. I don't know if he was great or Oscar worthy, I'd have to see it again to make that decision.

Too bad they killed off Two Face. I like that vilian.

            Decent movie overall.

Too much "moral of the story" shit. Enough already with "the human condition". They completely ruined Battlestar Galactica with that crap and this movie reminded me alot of that. It slowed down way too much in spots...
So you like pointless fluff action that has nothing to say about anything. To me thats a waste of my time. Unless it has grounding in reality, through allegory or whatever it doesn't resonate with me, which basically means I couldn't give a shit. The ways in which the new BSG kicks the ass of the old BSG are pretty impossible to count at least for me and I think for most people. I think aside from the diehards fans alot of people regarded the old BSG as pretty awful and cheesy. Actually thats why I didn't watch the new one right away, cause I figured what could be worse than a remake of an already shitty show?

As far as it goes with Batman. I actually liked the first two Burton movies, but in every way I think Nolan's vision is superior both in its own terms and the fact that its much more in line with the original comic (and I mean when it first came out, cause Batman changed alot of the years). I even think the music is better. Particularly in The Dark Knight. I think Keaton maybe was slightly better in the suit vocally than Bale (I think he went a little crazy with the death metal Batman voice). Not to mention I think Nolan made a mistake by flanging his voice down even more, its just not necessary. Thats my only real complaint though. I can't even make fun of Katie Holmes shitty acting this time around.

BSG's first season and a half were good.

But it's grinded to a complete halt the last few seasons. Very little action, all inner conflict, slow, boring human (and cylon) condition crap. It's fine to add SOME elements into the story, but they have way overdone it imo. The writers obviously take themselves (and the show) way to seriously.

BSG hasn't been fun to watch for some time now imo.

Personally, I enjoyed Firefly (and the movie Serenity). That's good sci-fi.

I guess since the thread has been hijacked, I'll go ahead and ask. Has anyone seen the new X-Files movie? How was it?

I thought it was alright, not great but definitely worth seeing if your into the x files. I thought it sucked that Doggett wasn't in it.

It was better than Batman IMO but apparently I'm the only one who didn't like Batman.

I was just watching the 'Heat' with De Niro and Pacino. Looks like Nolan saw it too. Two films are so similar

Jack told him to be careful, anyhow DID not live up to the hype for me, I preferred Mr. Keaton, and think Tim Burtons world was far darker.

                          just me.

good flick, but I'll go see Wall-E again a few more times before I see this again.

Jack just played Jack with make up. Nothing new or special. IF your a Jack fan you think he was the greatest. Ledger was a completely different person - the goal of acting - made the character his own.
