I kind of think people missed the point of this video. it wasn't to prove he was the best guitarist in the world, it was simply to make a world record. It was for speed not perfection (as far as I can tell from both the videos)

he made a world record, good for him. What it means? nothing, his name is in a book with the worlds largest man, the worlds smallest monkey and someone who can stick a hundred cancer sticks in their mouth.

nothing against anyone who plays that song, but to me it sounds boring regardless who plays it.

I think the reason it sounds so shitty it's just the recording, or video cam mic not picking up all the notes because it's so fast.

Imo it was sloppy at 170 bpm, then as he got faster there were no space between the notes to be sloppy

But damn, at 320 bpm his fingers weren't moving at all, really close to the speed of light maybe?

The one thing that I noticed, right off the bat, was that, I think, he was playing the song, wrong (assuming he was trying to play the ACTUAL "Flight Of The Bumblebee"). Maybe he altered the song, in order to actually be able to play it at those speeds? I dunno.
