Being the owner of two of them, they are a pain in the ass.
Mine works great about 90% of the time and hers about 60%.
Hers is going back again due to it crashing all the time.
The iPhone needs a few more months on the drawing board if you ask me.
I'm locked in for anther year and then these will hit the trash can.-Rick

Don't get me wrong. I love the phones, when they work.
But the hardware needs some more QC before they hit the street.
Mine was built in Aug 07 and is relativly problem free. My wife's phone was made in November and it's a huge POS. Crashes all the time, freezes in the middle of a call so the only way to hang up is to power down the phone.
It's running the same software as mine, but is fucked up.
Apple just reloads it at the store and says it shoul be fine.
Well it has crashed/frozen more than 30 times since updating to 2.0 and it just sucks.
Can't downgrade it without voiding the warranty, so it's going back once we're done wihh vacation.
I'm typing this on my iPhone right now.
Tried a new 3G, but it had a crappy signal strenght compared to the 3G Nokia sitting 2 inches away, so I passed.
I heard that is a common complaint withthe new ones.
Poor 3G reception.-Rick
