Manny will be fine, the red sox on the other hand is a entirely different matter.
Not sure what they are thinking letting him go. Only time will tell.

I personally do not care how it was built as long as it is a good playing/sounding instrument.

They (the Red Sox) don't pay his salary for the next two years.

I think they had to get him out. He made himself a net negative presence to force something to happen. I think he decided to play spoiler when it was clear management wasn't going to decide on the option until the end of the year. He really does have an infantile personality. He thought by pretending to become a yoga yogi or something that management would sign right up for another 2 years in April.

His weirdness is kind of fun a lot of the time but he really was a net negative at this point in IMHO.

              Buh Bye I say

He's been a little too "all about Manny' for me.

              But, that's just me.

But, I still say Buh-Bye... get a haircut, and be proud of your team (instead of covering up the logo with crap/sticky stuff).

DICK! (edit: I mean "OLD dick"... and getting older)...
              LOL

I just saw in the news that someone travelled from far and wide to get his autograph on a jersay, and he wouldn't sigh it. What an asshole.

I haven't kept up with baseball in years and until I saw a film clip this morning, I didn't even know who this knob was. So, I flip on the boob tube and there's this dude running for a fly ball. His hat falls off and a "Bob Marley doo" starts flailing around as if someone's lopped off the head of Medusa. He misses the ball, rolls around on the ground and finally finds the ball between his legs (no Toejam, I'm talking about the baseball). The whole time he's smiling at his teammate.

He's a disruption & a clown, and a lazy SOB. If he tried even 1/3 as hard as a guy like A-Rod tries, practiced as hard, etc. he'd break every powerhitting record the game has to offer. Just an absolutely sick natural talent.

I'm a huge Yankee fan, but I gotta admit, this made me love the guy, just a little bit:

I'm an idiot when it comes to baseball, but I have a question... Since they're still paying his salary for a couple of years, does that count against the cap?

(I'm thinking of a scenario here in Chicago with a certain over-priced goaltender, I think I'm going to shop him around to other teams without the Blackhawks knowledge. I'm going to start with sending him back to Russia. )
