I've been a fan of Tori's for years, and I know she's a little odd, but this version of Raining Blood is downright twisted. I always kinda forget about it, and then happen across it every few months and give it a listen. It never ceases to amaze me.

If you haven't heard it, you really don't know what you're missing.

IMHO it's the best cover tune ever done. She made it far more creepy and far more evil sounding.

I think it sucks. Sorry. Takes more than a depressing vocal track and some strange piano passages to make something good in my book.

I know I'm being a downer but I've heard you guys say how much it ruled for a long time now (TOE!) so I had to give it a shot.

I'd say, and I'm sure you'd agree, that Johnny Cash's cover of Hurt was much better. Both are in the same sort of vein, I think.

I used to be a huge Tori fan during her Little Earthquakes/Under the Pink Days. Have all of the limited edition CD singles from those two albums with the B side tracks, some of which are even better than what's on the albums.

Whenever I'd go see her in concert, my wife would say "Don't plan on getting any sex when you get home tonight, because I know who you'll be thinking of".

Yeah, she knows me pretty well...

Give ya that bro..of course I am a HUGE Cash fan...so I am biased. I felt he made that song his own (hard to explain exactly what I mean) and I didn't get that feeling from this.

Listen to some of her other tunes if you don't get that. She kicks much ass regardless of hotness!

She grew up in a very religious household, and was also raped at one point. Her lyrics can be pretty dark and deep, and the Raining Blood lyrics fit her well when comparing with other stuff she's done before.
