He does not like any guitar company because his guitar companies always fail because he does not have a creative or original thought in his head.

He screwed me good when I was 14 back in 93 when he ran Eastcoast Music Mall. I told him I wanted a custom ESP exactley like Kirk Hammet uses before they had the mass produced KH2 model.

So he charges me big bucks for my custom order then keeps delaying my order over and over again. Finally he sends me a regular KH2 when they first came out in early 94. I paid for a custom not a KH2 that is bolt on.

I call him and ask WTF my guitar is a bolt on and he just laughs and tells me it will be another 1000 dollars for a neck thru after charging full custom shop price for a regular KH2. I just kept the guitar since I was a kid and was in no position to really get anything done. He took me for all that money I saved working shitty jobs after school...

No, he does not like PRS!
You know I was one of those guys who used to read into his BS, but after a while you get wise and see right through him. It's a shame that he's ripping ppl off and getting away with it.
He does have some nice axes on his website though gotta give him that.

Ed roman once tried to convince me Floyd Rose went out of business due to all the FR licensed copies, and he could only get me a licensed FR.

YET... he had it advertised on his page that he had the lowest price avilable on OFR's. this was 2000/2001.

He's got questionable practices, no doubt about that.

He also blew open the Fender/Poplar scam of the late 80's and into the 90's. No one else did that.

So he's been both good and bad. Mostly bad.

Yeah, I'll agree with Bengal. He does have some valuable whistle-blower type info on guitars, and manufacturers. Thats about the only thing he's 90% credible for.

He sells a lot of fakes, rips ya off on customs, has a horrid reputation for customer service, and his guitar lines are questionable, and seeming to go in and out of business, and not disclosing too much about them.

And Ron kicked his ass. Literally.
