Duh. I am. I just love you all so much, I decided to continue posting here from the afterworld.

I left my computer unlocked on a job for Washington University. A colleague thought it would be a funny idea to post on the forum I had left open, since I violated a security policy. Stupid, but common here for some reason.

Mark, post that other mag pic of Dave and the wife again. The spam filters flagged it and it accidentally got deleted.

Does anyone REALLY believe he had a fucked up wrist? I just assume it was an excuse to disband his band (like Ellefson) without paying them anything, or something like that.
I dont know how someone can have an injury like that, then come back after RE-learning how to play - and play exactly the same.
Ian Anderson (Jethro Tull) re-learnt how to play the flute in the 90's, and its quite obvious when listening to his recordings afterwards. And he never had an injury that forced him to do it, he just chose to do it. Funny how he sounds different now, but Mustaine sounds exactly the same as he always did despite having this terrible injury.

                    Bollocks!

Yep, radial neuropathy can be a real bitch, but it is curable. I've tried my best to forget this whole situation, but I seem to remember that part of Dave's recovery involved various voodoo methods of treatment. He finally wised up and had surgery followed by extensive physical therapy.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, but you young gunslingers who feel you've got to strap your guitar down to your knees are just asking for wrist and elbow problems. It is not normal to keep your fretting wrist bent at a 90 degree angle for an excessive amount of time. Every so often, I'll read a post where a player complains of tingling in their pinkie, ring, and middle finger on their fretting hand. This was part of Dave's problem and I recall him taking lessons to play the same stuff but in a slightly different manner.

                      So,

                      a) yes, the injury was legit
                      b) yes, he would be able to play as good as he once did
                      c) yes, the injury provided a way for him to part company with past bandmates
                      d) yes, he's still a tool
                      e) yes, I just wasted 10 minutes typing this shit when a picture could have said the same thing in less than a minute.

Funny. The local metal radio station here had a news story that Dave fell off a horse and hurt his wrist. He was supposedly at a rehab facility because he replasped back to drugs and just happened to be riding a horse recreationally. Either way, he is still a tool.
